God has a Plan......It'll work out....Deep Breaths....God is bigger than this...

I think the title says it all. We are trying to sell our house in MI and the buyer walked away. I don't know what God's plan is and I don't know how it'll all work out....but it will. I do believe in that and I trust in God completely. Unfortunately, my human nature is to worry and stress over things that I cannot control. I wish I could just let it go. So the house is now back on the market and we play the waiting game. How long will it take this time before someone comes along that "wants" to buy it?

The kids were all home today for "Fair Day" while I worked and WB did homework. I think they were fairly well-behaved. Doc has been a bear lately because he's trying to adjust to his new schedule with preschool. GQ has been a bear lately because he has quit sleeping now that he can get out of bed on his own. Mr. X just feeds off of them. Basically we've had quite a few rough days with a smattering of happy. It's all good though, it's just a  phase.

Doc loves his guitar he got at the fair.

Dancing and making music.

GQ thought it was hilarious to chase the goose. Do you see it?

Getting ready to go to school.

GQ loves to sneak into his brothers' rooms and play with their toys.

Not so happy here. This was one of the rough moments. Mr. X was doing something online for school and his brothers were fighting for position because they wanted to help/see/do etc. Their shoving and pushing for position of course pushed Mr. X around too. This is a prime example of why we don't allow much in the way of video games/TV/computer.

WB is done with the semester in a week and then we can just chill for a bit. Now if only the house would sell...

Bouncing Balls

My boys discovered the love of bouncing balls today. We have a variety of balls as I'm sure most kids do. We just haven't ever had them out much. In the house is never a good idea, and outside didn't work well either because the balls inevitably disappeared over the fence. We have a larger yard now though and the kids got the balls out today. GQ absolutely loved it. He thought it was hilarious. Mr. X and Doc played "soccer". They were kicking around and throwing the soccer balls so that meant it was soccer.

I'm glad the boys are able to enjoy the balls now. They got a little crazy with them for a bit and needed some redirection but otherwise they played well together with the balls. It's amazing what a little fresh air can do some days. We had some incredibly cranky kids that kept pecking at each other. I herded them all outside so WB could get his math tests done. Afterwards they were in much better moods.

County Fair 2011

We got a Welcome to the Neighborhood packet when we moved in here that included tickets to the fair. We decided to take advantage of the tickets and go today. It was a blast! The kids really enjoyed it and were fairly well behaved. GQ didn't complain much about being in the stroller and the kids stuck close. Mr. X and Doc enjoyed the rides more than they ever have before. It's been awhile since I've had this much fun at a fair and I'm so glad that the boys are getting big enough to ride the rides and that they WANT to ride the rides. Doc is still a little too small for some of the rides but he had fun on the ones he did go on. GQ went on only a few and wasn't really sure what to think. I was surprised at some of the stuff at the fair. They had rib tips and sirloin tips, pulled pork, shrimp and crawfish, fried green tomatoes, ice cream stands all over, and a roller coaster. Maybe it's a southern thing...who knows? The fried green tomatoes were FABULOUS. We had a lot of fun and it was great to have fun together as a family.

Dora was at the fair which Doc thought was cool.....from a distance.

Doc absolutely loved this fire truck.

Crazy Copter. GQ was big enough to go on this with me and the older two.

I'm riding this little roller coaster with Doc and Mr. X is in the car in front of us.

Himalaya. Doc just giggled and giggled on this one.

Mr. X rode with another little boy that was just in front of us in line.

The little kids' train.

Bananas shaped like airplanes...

Anything GQ went on, someone had to go with him so I folded myself into the rides.

Crazy Bus that I rode with all 3 kids.

Tilt-A-Whirl!!

The Riptide Rollercoaster. Unfortunately, all the boys were too short for this one, but Doc and Mr. X wanted on it so badly.

Scrambler

Ferris Wheel with gondolas.

Fairgrounds.

Wiggly Worm.

WB rode the Cliff Hanger. Other than the Ferris Wheel, it was the only ride he rode.

GQ did so well riding all day in the stroller.

It was so good to give WB a break from the house and homework. We all got out and had fun. I would love to start going to the fair again yearly like I did growing up. I think the boys will continue to enjoy it.

Cleaning Cleaning and What's that?

We have been busy as usual. It's crazy how quickly time goes by! The other day we had some rain so the kids sat in the door and enjoyed some popsicles in the rain. The popsicles are suppose to help with their oral strength so we found 100% juice ones.

The umbrella must always be out if it's raining.....even if they aren't actually using it.

We decided to switch from a big diaper bag to just a small backpack for GQ so now he has a backpack like his brothers.

Unfortunately, it's a little big for him.

GQ has discovered the fun of pulling things through the house. Everything is a chasing game to him so I think that might be part of it for him.

Doesn't he look happy?

GQ is also getting more into saying prayers at dinner. Last night we were dealing with time-outs and dinner had gotten to a late start. I think GQ was really hungry because he was not about to wait on anyone.

Praying. He was definitely trying to say something too.

Amen!

I just thought that was so precious! I love it when they start to say prayers, want to read the Bible, etc.

Unfortunately, Doc wasn't in as good of a mood as GQ at that time. He was definitely upset about something.

Yes that is his middle finger and no he's not flipping the bird. He is pointing as he's yelling and for whatever reason, Doc points with his middle finger on his right hand. Left-handed, he points appropriately but with the right hand, not so much.

I have been trying to be a bit more artistic/creative with the camera but I'm not so good at it. I just don't want all of our pictures to look the same. Anyways, Doc was more than willing to help.

The pictures were taken through a hole in a block. I am not good with manually messing with the camera so I think the camera struggled to get it focused.

Speaking of helping....that's been a big theme around here lately...

WB took some time out from school work to help Doc build a car out of Lincoln Logs.

GQ decided he wanted to help wash the windows, so WB lifted him up so he could get the tops.

Look how happy he is to help! If only that was an everyday thing...

He had fun washing the windows.

Mr. X being a good big brother and reading to Doc for me. It was his AR book for school so he had to read anyways but he helped me out and let Doc listen in.

Mr. X helped vacuum. He did a pretty good job!

Doc helped vacuum a bit too.

I don't know what inspired Mr. X to want to help. He must've just gotten the helping bug yesterday or something. He insisted he wanted to vacuum but the toys needed to be picked up first. I told him that he could help me vacuum but he needed to make sure the toys were picked up. He picked up his brothers' toys without complaint! Usually he hates picking up toys and will tell me it's not his mess. Who would have thought he would pick up the toys if I promised he could vacuum?! Of course, Doc insisted he needed to help vacuum too. Mr. X also told WB  at dinner time that he could help WB with his math. WB asked, "Do you know the answer to 2x2?" Mr. X replied with a shrug. Yeah I guess that math is a bit too advanced for Mr. X since WB is doing college algebra. It was sweet of him to offer though.

Today we are going to the county fair so I will be sure to bring my camera along and take pictures of our outing!
